Is supported accommodation for 18 to 25 year olds regulated?

Not by Ofsted or the CQC. Ofsted registers supported accommodation only for 16 and 17 year olds, and the CQC registers personal care, which supported accommodation does not provide. The Supported Housing (Regulatory Oversight) Act 2023 will bring in national standards and local licensing, but they are not in force yet. These policies work to the National Supported Housing Standards ahead of licensing, and to the law that already applies: adult safeguarding under the Care Act 2014, the Mental Capacity Act 2005, housing and eviction law, health and safety, fire safety and data protection.

We accommodate 16 and 17 year olds as well. Which library do we need?

Both. Residents aged 16 and 17 are covered by your Ofsted registration and the Supported Accommodation (England) Regulations 2023, which the supported accommodation library is written for. Residents aged 18 to 25 are adults in an unregulated setting, which this library is written for. The two libraries use the same section codes, so the policies line up.

What does the 18 to 25 library cover?

81 policies and procedures covering accommodation and occupancy (licences, tenancies and ending an agreement lawfully), leadership and staffing, adult safeguarding and exploitation, domestic abuse, modern slavery, care leavers up to 25, mental capacity, support planning, moving on, and a full HR set. Risk assessments and templates sit alongside them.

Can I download and edit the policies?

Yes. Every policy downloads as Word (.docx) or PDF with your organisation's name and details filled in. Local contacts you have not added yet stay as marked gaps. The Word version is fully editable.

Can I buy the policies outright?

Yes. The library can be bought as a one-off purchase and kept permanently, or used through a portal subscription that adds staff acknowledgement tracking, version control and updates. It costs £695, or £595 with code CURAFLOW100 until 31 December 2026, excluding VAT.
