Built on the social model of disability, this policy takes a strengths-based approach to supporting people with physical disabilities. It deals with promoting independence and avoiding dependency, reablement and rehabilitation, support with mobility and daily living, equipment, assistive technology and adaptations, and choice, control and independent living.
