Continence Promotion and Management policy

Continence care is approached with promotion first, so that support helps people maintain continence rather than simply managing incontinence. Assessment and care planning, common causes and contributing factors, maintaining fluid intake rather than restricting it, constipation prevention, and dignified continence support in the home are all addressed.
